The ideal candidate will have the expertise to support the planning, design, and implementation of configuration management solutions for a large-scale environment involving 700 systems . This position is integral to the success of configuration management efforts, particularly for the 2025 Ovation launch , which includes custom products and persistent COTS (Commercial Off-The-Shelf) solutions. The candidate will also collaborate with various technical stakeholders to ensure governance standards are met. Key Responsibilities Support strategy, planning, design, implementation, management, and performance of CMDB solutions. Work with technical stakeholders to define configuration items (CIs), classes, attributes, and data collection strategies to meet organizational goals. Build and update business applications within the CMDB, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Collaborate with Discovery Administrators to create and implement service maps and ensure timely population of the correct ServiceNow tables. Leverage ServiceNow CSDM to align with the organizations ITSM modules and business goals. Ensure compliance with governance standards for configuration management and ITIL processes. Utilize tools like JIRA and Confluence for tracking and documentation. Apply knowledge of IT infrastructure topology, including applications, servers, networking configurations, and more. Required Skills and Experience ServiceNow Expertise : Experience with ServiceNow CSDM model. Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping. Knowledge of Service Portfolio Management and Application Portfolio Management. ITIL Knowledge : Strong understanding of the ITIL CMDB model and its application. Comprehension of capabilities, business applications, services, products, and software packages. Technical Skills : Broad knowledge of IT infrastructure topology, including product, application, server, and networking configurations. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Project, Word, Excel) and Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence). Collaboration : Ability to effectively communicate and work with multiple stakeholders across the organization. Strong problem-solving and governance adherence capabilities.
