Position : Active Directory Technical Support Specialist Location : 100% REMOTE Duration: 12mth+ contract Visa: Only USC/GC Interview: Video Job Description: JOB DESCRIPTION #LI-PN1 Our client is seeking a Tier 1 Active Directory Technical Support Specialist to support their Federal client. The Service Desk Analyst position will provide Tier 1 support for access services including national active directory, multi-factor authentication, and remote access. The candidate will provide support and assistance related to access requests, user authentication, and access control to various IT systems, applications, and resources within the organization. This role involves responding to user queries, troubleshooting access issues, and ensuring the security of the organizations digital environment. Service Desk Analysts work closely with IT teams to resolve access-related challenges promptly. Escalation of the issue to the Tier 2 team may be required. Lastly, the candidate will be required to follow up with the customer to verify the resolution. This position will be 100% remote work. Project Overview Provide Tier 1 support for access services for Active Directory (AD) Services Teams Architects in support of three areas: Inter-Forest User Migrations, Account Management and Provisioning, and AD Infrastructure & Enterprise Solutions. Demonstrate knowledge of analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills related to Application remediation. Support Active Directory management tools, automation, and backups. Maintain a solid understanding of business issues and technical solutions encountered during the migration of single-forest or multi-forest Active Directory environments. Create training manuals and presentation decks to deliver onsite and online training to Active Directory System Administrators. Ability to manage multiple priorities, commitments, and projects and interact daily with System Administrators. Maintain a strong learning aptitude and ability to learn new technologies independently. Required Qualifications 2 - 3 years relevant experience with a Bachelor in a related field; 3 years relevant experience with a Master in the related field, 7 years relevant experience with AA or Diploma. Solid experience working with large, complex Active Directory migrations for customers, prospects, or clients. Moderate knowledge of AD architecture and infrastructure (LDAP, Directory Replication, group policy, security, schema changes, domain controllers management). Knowledge of DNS, Kerberos, Windows Authentication and Single Sign On (SSO), Microsoft Certificate Services/PKI infrastructure. Moderate knowledge of Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019, and 2022 (a plus), TCP/IP networking knowledge. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment and interact with all levels of management as well as customers. Knowledge of identity life cycle onboarding and offboarding processes, Quest Migration Manager for AD preferred. Knowledge of Identity & Access Management concepts is a plus, ADFS, MFA, and SSO is a plus. Preferred Qualifications Networking/Security background Experience with ServiceNow Experience with Personal Identity Verification Interoperability (PIV-I) infrastructure Knowledge of the following products: Cisco AnyConnect Zscaler Microsoft Active Directory Duo Understanding of ITIL best practices Bonus points for Client Requirements: 2 3 years relevant experience with a bachelor's degree in a related field. Inter-Forest User Migrations (Quest Migration Manager for AD): moderate understanding of AD Attributes, LDAP Queries, Power Scripting to Modify AD Attributes, Group Policy Analysis, GPO Preference Configuration, Workstation Configurations, and Browser Configuration Settings. Familiarity with VMview and other applications that integrate with Active Directory. Account Management and Provisioning (Quest Active Roles Server/Quest Quick Connect): moderate knowledge of permissions that are granted natively to various Microsoft Built-In Groups to perform Active Directory Administrative Functions. Knowledge of native permissions granted when building AD objects. Knowledge of permissions granted natively to Built-In Groups via GPOs and/or Local Policies. Active Directory Infrastructure & Enterprise Solutions: Ability to read product documentation to conceptualize and implement solutions, build Domain Controllers and Member Servers to support Enterprise Solutions. Thorough functional understanding and ability to configure Active Directory Server Roles (CAs, IIS, File/Print, DNS). Working knowledge of GPOs, AD Sites, Replication Topolog Thanks and Regards MD.
