Title: HP NONSTOP Tandem Application Administrator Location: OMAHA, NE/onsite Experience:10+Years Role Description: Application-related Monitoring, Recovery, and Restart Perform upon request, application-related end-user job / utility submission monitoring, recovery and restart Customize Installation Jobs Customize installation jobs and/or scripts, as needed Code Promotion Perform and support code promotion Automated Scheduling System Provide, administer and maintain an automated scheduling System Scheduling Conflict Resolution and Reporting i. Resolve scheduling conflicts, with Hertz assistance, in all production schedule cycles ii. Provide daily report of scheduling conflicts which occurred in previous nights batch cycleSchedule Monitoring i. Monitor schedule cycles ii. Monitor scheduled batch jobsResolution and Restart Invoke resolution and restart procedures in the event of failures in the batch jobs or online utilitiesIncident Notification Perform notification of Incident to appropriate support team in accordance with the Procedures ManualDelay Notification Perform notification of delays within batch production schedule in accordance with the Procedures ManualOn-request Batch Job Scheduling Schedule on-request batch jobs per Hertz request Perform adjustment and fine tuning to include: i. Identification and documentation in Hertz specified format of critical paths based on statistics of execution ii. Identification of jobs eligible for parallel processing (on same CPU or multiple CPUs) and reorganization of normal batch schedules iv. Support of special batch schedules (e.g., for known peak periods) v. Suggestion and implementation of improvementsCode Promotion Standards Maintain and update standards for code promotionsAcceptance Criteria and Operational Requirements Document production application and Systems acceptance criteria and operational requirementsMovement of Code i. Move Application related code from development, test, or quality assurance to NonStop production Environments and document and maintain procedures for same iii. Move Hertz supported Application code within supported Application EnvironmentsAutomated Code Promotion Maintain automated code promotion Systems(s) and provide customized interfaces to HertzRelated Documentation Develop, maintain and support procedures, scripts and general operations and network Related Documentation for use by operations personnelJob Scheduling Database i. Maintain Database of job scheduling, contact, and re-run of interdependencies ii. Maintain a history of scheduled job completion resultsReprocessing Activities Provide quality control for reprocessing activities (i.e., rerun batch control activities)Third Party Provider Applications Software Support Provide Third Party Provider Applications Software support (i.e., install, maintenance, upgrade) for product installsPerformance Improvement i.
