Title: Project Manager Location: Want local candidate to NYC where the job is located will only be needed 1 day a week in office most Durtaion: 7-month contract GC/USC Need Banking Experince . Story Behind the Need: Project Support with the Mortgage Capital Markets Program Implementation. PM supporting Capital Markets Program-need to have extensive exp in financial markets Any Anti Money Laundering or AML cert would be huge. Business Group: The Global Banking & Markets provides a full range of investment banking, credit and risk management products and services relevant to the financing and strategic development needs of our clients. Our products include debt and equity financing, mergers & acquisitions, corporate banking, institutional equity sales, trading and research, fixed income products, derivatives, energy, foreign exchange and precious & metals. We also cross-sell the full range of wholesale products and services offered by the Scotiabank Group. Project: The Contingent Worker will support the project lead in managing the Mortgage Capital Markets Program under the teams remit. Team is responsible for program management including (but not limited to) US and global regulatory changes, business process improvements, technology implementation of a new products in the Global Capital Markets offering. Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills: 8+ years' experience as a Project Manager in a Financial Institution Strong Documentation Skills (ex. Taking minutes, providing weekly executive summaries) Strong computer literacy skills Excellent PowerPoint skills (ex. Creating professional decks) Nice-To-Have Skills: Familiarity in Mortgage Warehouse Lending an asset. Familiarity with online project management tools and websites (including basic webpage maintenance capabilities). Candidate Value Proposition The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work as a hands on PM on a complex implementation project within Scotia that is highly visible within the bank. Typical Day in Role Participate with the team in working with the business lines and internal stakeholders in understanding the regulatory framework and developing systems and processes to ensure compliance. Work closely with the PMO Project Manager responsible for the delivery of the Mortgage Capital Markets Program Assist in the preparation of presentation materials, and progress reports to stakeholders, including senior management. Support with the development of a Target Operating Model/RACI as part of organizational readiness Adhere to the Enterprise Delivery Framework and associated artifacts and documentation for project governance. Attend program meetings, meeting minutes, and serve as program secretary. Provide and maintain project related documentation including meeting minutes, Risks & Issues logs, project plans, and task lists. Administrative duties include folder organization and calendar management. Maintain databases and internal tools used for tracking progress, regulatory developments, and documentation. Soft Skills: Considerable initiative, creativity and good judgment are necessary. A high level of energy, commitment and a strong sense of teamwork are needed to succeed in the role. A self-starter / takes initiative, deals well with ambiguity, is detail oriented. Highly organized, ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
