Job Title: Power Platform Developer State of Connecticut - Dept. of Social Services (DSS) Location: Hartford, CT Hybrid (local candidates only) Duration: 3-month contract Extensions Possible Work Week: 35 Hours Need local candidates with LinkedIn We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Power Platform Developer with expertise in Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, and Portals to join our innovative team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, customizing, and deploying business applications and portals using the Microsoft Power Platform suite. This role requires a strong technical background, an understanding of business needs, and the ability to create user-friendly and scalable applications to support business processes and workflows. Required Skills and Qualifications: Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in developing solutions using Microsoft Power Apps, Power Pages (Power Apps Portals), and Power Automate. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Power Apps (canvas apps, model-driven apps). Strong experience in customizing Power Pages (Portals) and building web-based applications. Familiarity with Power Automate to automate business processes and workflows. Proficient in Power Fx (formula language) for Power Apps and understanding of data modeling in Dataverse. Experience with web technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, CSS for Power Pages customizations. Database Integration: Experience working with Dataverse and other data sources like SharePoint, SQL Server, and REST APIs. Authentication: Knowledge of user authentication methods (Azure AD, OAuth, and custom security roles in Power Pages). Problem Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills with a focus on finding effective solutions to business challenges. Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
