Job Description:

Qualifications:

2 to 3 years of experience in Information Technology with expertise in test automation of applications from UI and API layers.

Hands-on experience writing and maintaining automated UI and API tests in Java, JavaScript, C#, or Python using open-source testing libraries such as Selenium, Cypress, REST Assured, etc.

Proficient in OOP languages (Java, C#) and scripting languages (Python, Perl, , Bash).

Strong understanding of API and Microservices testing and automation.

Experience with TDD, BDD using testing frameworks like Cucumber or JBehave.

Hands-on experience with querying languages (SQL preferred, Oracle, MySQL, NoSQL databases like Cassandra/MongoDB).

Experience deploying applications in AWS or OpenShift (Kubernetes).

Expertise in automating backend REST services using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, Karate, Cypress, or ReadyAPI.

Proficient in building test automation frameworks from the ground up using modular frameworks and design patterns such as Page Object Model (POM).

Experience in distributed agile teams using frameworks like SCRUM, SAFe, or XP.

Familiarity with continuous integration tools (Jenkins, Circle CI) and source code management tools (GitLab, GitHub, AWS Code Commit).

Experience of creating test reports from automation test runs using tools like Cucumber report, Extent report, etc.

Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey ideas effectively.

Proactive and customer satisfaction-oriented.

Qualifications:

Experience with infrastructure automation using Docker, Chef, Puppet, or Terraform.

Familiarity with various AWS Cloud services (EC2, S3, AWS Code Pipeline, CloudFormation).

Experience in service virtualization for test automation using tools like Wire Mock or Mockito.

Proficiency in test management and agile management tools (VersionOne, qTest).

Familiarity with container orchestration tools (Docker, RED Hat OpenShift, AWS CloudFormation).

Experience in non-functional testing (performance, load, stress, security, accessibility, usability).

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, execute, and maintain software tests for the product/application.

Define automation strategies and design tools for unit, functional, and performance testing programmatically.

Participate in design and code inspections.

Propose improvements to existing processes and build automated tools, libraries, and utilities to enhance team speed, quality, and efficiency.

Write testing code to expose defects in production-level and component-level code.

Collaborate with engineers and teams to own the design and implementation of tests ensuring end-to-end quality of major deliverables.

Integrate both tests and infrastructure automation into the CI/CD pipeline.

Contribute to agile development teams following 12-Factor application development principles.
