Team: This position will support Trial Claim & Transparency: Operationalize through use of existing claim platform estimation (Pre-D) logic to enable real-time calculations, requires code updates, enhancements and break-fix Work Hours: M-F, 8am-5pm CST Interview process: 2-3 rounds conducted via phone/video conference Preference will be given to candidates who have the following specific skills/attributes: -Experience in the healthcare industry (particularly with UnitedHealthcare, United Health Group, Optum, OptumRx -Experience with claim management -Knowledge of claim adjudication platforms Qualifications: -As a Business Analyst supporting new and existing products, your role is critical in helping deliver world-class service for our customers. -This role supports activities throughout the entire product lifecycle and is responsible for eliciting and documenting actual needs/requirements of stakeholders, which frequently involves investigating and clarifying their expressed desires, in order to determine underlying issues and causes, maintaining a backlog of capabilities/features/user stories, working with integrated design and development teams to deliver functionality, staying abreast of competing products, and communicating with all stakeholders. Responsibilities: -Seeks feedback and identifies opportunities to modify processes; Assesses impacts of change and develops inclusive response. -Develop a deep understanding of the customer and product needs, to act as the voice of the customer in eliciting and analyzing information for development of product requirements. -Analyze and collaborate on product solution options to meet customer needs. --Listen to and incorporate customer feedback through NPS surveys, research studies, and other customer facing channels into future features/user stories Support the product vision, roadmap, and product growth opportunities. -Develop visual models, diagrams, tables, graphs, and/or charts to represent current state and future needs that provide direction for the product team. -Navigate and lead through a complex matrix organization across multiple business segments, applications, and products to deliver outcomes. -Support incorporation of product objectives and measures into processes and requirements. -Create user personas. -Translate conceptual customer requirements into functional requirements that conform to standards in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers & product team by decomposing business capabilities into features and features into user stories. -Own and manage issues and questions related to the product requirements throughout the product lifecycle. -Partners with the Product Owner/Product Manager and other key stakeholders to weigh the value/cost associated with delivery timelines. -Document Acceptance Test Driven Development (ATDD) acceptance criteria. -Develop and execute product analysis plans. -Actively participate in daily meetings, backlog management, refinement, dependencies, prioritization, formal story acceptance, sprint planning, daily scrum, defect management and retrospective activities to support business agility within the organization. -When needed, support the Product Owner by leading Sprint Planning, PI planning, Customer Demos and setting expectations for delivery of new functionalities. -Assess risks considering external and internal factors for all product development or change. -Advocate for or Influence adoption and transition to agile frameworks and support or lead scrum ceremonies. -Support the product owner by discussing business and technical impacts of, and dependencies related to, priority decisions. -Partners with UX (User Experience) to ensure designs/mocks/prototypes are correct and ready for development and test, validate and identify weaknesses in prototypes and make the necessary changes (A/B, research, analysis, usability, etc.). -Perform user acceptance testing/ QA of solutions to ensure features and functions have been enabled and optimized. -Leverage data to generate insights about customer preference and experience and support decision making. -Applies data-driven knowledge and best practices from one situation to the next, as appropriate; Recommends changes based upon data to improve product. -Support operational readiness activities to ensure that necessary training and policy and procedure updates have occurred. -Review work performed by self and others to provide recommendations for quality improvement by analyzing and verifying requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards. -Support development and delivery of presentations. -Monitor progress against KPIs, OKRs, performance SLAs, and extract insights for future enhancements in close partnership with product leaders. -Support Financial analysis and support business cases from a product value perspective to drive product implementation activities -Support financial analysis for product initiatives and roadmaps -Support market competitive analysis for products across the industry landscape. -Stay current on product analysis and business analysis industry standard practices, and internal UHG standard practices -Stay current on developing internal and external Agile trends and practices. -Take an active member role in the Centers of Excellence, supporting, and working on, organizational growth activities. -Support our United Culture. -Support change and acceptance of change. -Sought out as an expert -Serves as a leader/mentor. -Understand enterprise problems and goals. -Participate in identifying development areas in own career growth, training, and tasks to promote growth. -Contribute to continued organizational growth by sharing knowledge, promoting a positive team environment, and continually work to develop self. -Constructively challenge current thinking, supporting change that will deliver exceptional user centric experiences. -Demonstrate an ability to view the actions of others with the assumption of positive intent and open to honest conversations. -Holds self accountable for meeting performance standards and agreed upon deliverables, sharing responsibility with team for outcomes of decisions and actions. -Manage team conflict. -Expected to be able to travel to support product initiatives. Education: Preference of a bachelor's degree in business administration or related field of study with 2+ years of proven BA/PA experience. Without a degree, 4+ years of experience is required. Heavy emphasis is given on: Advanced business analysis and Agile training. (internal or external) Business Analysis Certifications (IIBA CBAP or CCBA, CPOA, etc.) Agile Certification (such as Scrum Alliance or Scrum.org). Skills Needed: Experience working directly with customer base/Consumer experience. A strong belief in our cultural values of compassion, integrity, relationships, innovation, and performance.
