NodeJs Developer- Hybrid

Location: Sunnyvale, CA Hybrid (Tuesday & Wednesday orThursday)

Duration: 6 month initial contract

Position description:

Supporting customer experience initiatives. Working on backendservices that power the orchestration behind UI for Walmart mobile and webapplications. Working on some projects under NDA.

Must Have

5 years of experience in Node.js
Core fundamentals in typescript
Experience working on a large development team

Nice to Have

Experience with Cosmos or Cassandra
Rust (6months-1 year experience or interest in learning)

What Walmart says they look for:

Node Js:

*   Expertise and hands-on experience in object-orientedprogramming

*   Experience with Node

*   Experience with TypeScript

*   Experience in developing highly scalablemicro-services and optimized RESTful APIs using Node or TypeScript

*   Experience in Jest for unit testing application.

*   Experience working with container-based technologiessuch as Docker or Kubernetes.

*   Experience is BDDtesting using Mockito.

*   Experience inversion control tools - Git.

*   Experience in working in a collaborative environmentusing Agile SCRUM practices.

*   Solid grasp of various software design patterns anddistributed computing.

*   Understanding of relational and non-relationaldatabase technologies (SQL and Cosmos DB), data modeling and RESTful web APIs.

*   Experience in automated CI/CD workflow using toolssuch as Jenkins and GitHub.

*   Experience ofbuilding GraphQL is a huge plus

*   Experience working directly with Product, Business,Automation and other stake holders in delivering end to end product features.
