http://bit.ly/4ey8w48 https://jobs.nvoids.com/job_details.jsp?id=2082768&uid= Position: Data Engineer Location: 3x/week onsite in Hartford, CT (151 Farmington Ave) - Local DL Need Duration: 9 month contract + potential conversion (OK to straight contract and potential to sponsor, but definitely want to prioritize W2s) Interview Process/Times: technical test for people theyre interested in + Video interview via Teams Visa - GC, GC-EAD OR USC Only Reason for opening + Role: application is on prem and they want to migrate IIB application to the cloud and change underlying database DB2 to PostGres and IIB to Node JS (offshore team is IIB focused, less important than NodeJS and GraphQL) Migrate all applications -- migrate this application in 6 months Team: They follow scaled agile; she has 2 teams, onshore/offshore (India); 16-18 team members in total (running lean) Project timeline: Project starting Jan 1, Complete by June deadline, then production deployment planning June-Sept, Sept is go live and take plug out from on prem application Similar to the original NodeJS developer, however this person should have PRIMARY experience on Airflow, DAG, and Python, SECONDARY on NodeJS Required Qualifications 5+ years of professional software development experience. Primary Skillset: Python, Airflow, DAG 2+ years of Cloud Experience; preferably with Amazon Web Services (AWS) 1+ year of experience working in an Agile-based development environment using Agile concepts such as Continuous Integration (CI/CD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD) Strong experience with monitoring and observability and building scalable services Understanding of various database solutions (SQL, NoSQL) Preferred Qualifications Secondary Skillset: 3+ years of NodeJS development with TypeScript; Experience developing GraphQL APIs Exposure to product/services development, cloud-based platforms is highly preferred (i.e. Azure, GCP, AWS) Excellent verbal, written communication, and collaboration skills.
