Looking Onsite || Mainframe Developer || Alpharetta, GA (Onsite) We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Mainframe Developer with expertise in DB2, SQL, and Python. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mainframe technologies, with hands-on experience in DB2 databases, SQL queries, and Python scripting. Key Responsibilities: Develop, test, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, and DB2. Design and implement efficient SQL queries to retrieve and manipulate data in DB2 databases. Write Python scripts for automation and data processing tasks related to mainframe systems. Collaborate with business analysts and project managers to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in mainframe applications, databases, and scripts. Participate in system analysis, design, and testing to ensure efficient solutions that meet business needs. Provide ongoing support for legacy mainframe applications and modernize as required. Optimize performance for DB2 queries and mainframe jobs to improve overall system efficiency. Maintain documentation for code, processes, and system configurations. Required Skills and Qualifications: Strong experience in Mainframe development with COBOL, JCL, and DB2. Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and optimizing DB2 database performance. Experience with Python for automating tasks and data processing on mainframe systems. Familiarity with mainframe tools and utilities (e.g., TSO/ISPF, File-Aid, etc.). Solid understanding of mainframe architecture and batch processing. Experience in debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of mainframe systems. Ability to work collaboratively within a team and effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Knowledge of Agile development methodologies is a plus.
