The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Shopify platform and possess strong architectural and design skills to deliver high-performance, scalable, and innovative e-commerce solutions. Responsibilities Lead the design and architecture of complex Shopify-based e-commerce solutions, including custom themes, integrations, and applications. Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and development teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Perform thorough technical assessments of existing Shopify stores to identify areas for improvement and optimization. Design and document scalable and maintainable architectures for Shopify stores, considering factors such as performance, security, and user experience. Guide the development team in implementing Shopify solutions according to architectural specifications. Stay abreast of the latest Shopify features, best practices, and industry trends. Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance on Shopify development. Qualifications 10+ years of experience in e-commerce development, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience with the Shopify platform. Strong understanding of Shopify's architecture, APIs (REST and GraphQL), and Liquid templating language. Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Proficiency in designing and developing custom Shopify themes and applications. Experience with integrating Shopify with third-party systems (e.g., CRM, ERP, marketing platforms). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve technical challenges. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with headless commerce and Shopify Plus. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
