Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced
Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) Developer
to join our team and contribute to the ongoing development and maintenance of J.Crew's e-commerce platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in
Salesforce Commerce Cloud development (B2C)
, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for building seamless, scalable, and performant customer experiences.

As a member of the team, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including
front-end developers
,
back-end engineers
,
business stakeholders
, and
project managers
, to deliver high-quality e-commerce solutions. You will also contribute to the platforms scalability, stability, and feature enhancement to meet the evolving needs of J.Crews business and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

1. SFCC Development:

Design, develop, and implement custom functionality in
Salesforce Commerce Cloud B2C
, leveraging
Storefront Reference Architecture (SFRA)
.

Work on SFCCs
backend customizations
(e.g., controllers, ISML templates, pipelines, scripts, and services) and integrate them with front-end functionality.

Build and extend
SFRA-based storefronts
while ensuring mobile-first and SEO-friendly implementation.

Develop and enhance features like
product catalogs
,
search and navigation
,
shopping carts
,
checkout flows
,
promotions
, and
loyalty programs
.

2. System Integration:

Integrate SFCC with external systems such as:

Order Management Systems (OMS).

Payment Gateways (e.g., Adyen, PayPal, Stripe).

ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).

Marketing platforms (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Google Analytics).

Develop and consume
RESTful APIs
and
OCAPI
endpoints to connect with third-party services and Salesforce tools.

Leverage
MuleSoft
or other middleware for complex integrations.

3. Performance imization:

Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, ensuring the storefront performs imally under high traffic (e.g., Black Friday, Cyber Monday).

imize
server-side scripts
,
ISML templates
, and
queries (e.g., B2C Commerce Query API)
to enhance site speed and reliability.

Implement
caching strategies
(e.g., Page Caching, Distributed Caching) to improve page load times.

4. Testing and Debugging:

Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting to ensure the robustness of custom functionality.

Debug and fix issues related to SFCC, including production bugs and cross-browser compatibility issues.

Utilize tools like
Code Profiler
and
Log Center
to monitor and improve platform performance.

5. Collaboration:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement new features, ensuring alignment with J.Crews business goals.

Work closely with designers and front-end developers to implement pixel-perfect designs that deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Participate in
code reviews
and ensure adherence to best practices, coding standards, and documentation requirements.

6. Platform Maintenance and Updates:

Support ongoing platform maintenance, including version upgrades and patch implementations.

Ensure compliance with
Salesforce Commerce Cloud security standards
and handle issues related to PCI-DSS compliance.

Stay updated with Salesforce releases and features, and propose opportunities for platform improvement.

Required Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

3+ years of experience
working with
Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC B2C)
.

Expertise in
Storefront Reference Architecture (SFRA)
development.

Proficiency in
JavaScript
,
Node.js
, and
ISML templates
.

Strong understanding of
server-side JavaScript
and
Demandware Script APIs
.

Hands-on experience with
Open Commerce API (OCAPI)
and
Shopper APIs (SCAPI)
.

Knowledge of
RESTful API design and integration
.

E-Commerce and Retail Domain Knowledge:

Familiarity with retail/e-commerce best practices, including product catalogs, pricing, inventory, promotions, and checkout flows.

Experience with
multi-currency, multi-locale
setups for global e-commerce platforms.

Platform Tools and Environment:

Proficiency with
version control systems
(e.g., Git, Bitbucket).

Familiarity with
CI/CD pipelines
for deploying SFCC customizations (e.g., Jenkins, Gearset, Copado).

Experience using
Salesforce Business Manager
for configuration, catalog management, and promotions.

Performance imization:

Understanding of caching strategies and page performance tuning.

Familiarity with tools like
Code Profiler

Akamai
, and browser-based performance debugging tools.

Testing and Quality Assurance:

Knowledge of
unit testing frameworks
(e.g., Mocha, Jest) and
end-to-end testing
(e.g., Selenium, TestCafe).

Experience with
headless commerce architecture
(e.g., building custom front ends using React, Angular, or Vue.js with SCAPI or GraphQL).

Preferred Qualifications:

Salesforce
B2C Commerce Developer Certification
is a strong plus.
