This role focuses on vulnerability assessments, risk management, and compliance. The ideal candidate will bring a mix of technical skills, analytical ability, and familiarity with industry frameworks and standards. Strong expertise in Excel, Power BI, and vulnerability management is essential, while NERC CIP knowledge is highly desirable. Key Responsibilities: Conduct vulnerability assessments and manage the full lifecycle of vulnerabilities using tools like Tenable Nessus or Tenable.sc. Analyze scan results and work with cross-functional teams to implement remediation strategies. Perform risk assessments to identify and mitigate cybersecurity risks effectively. Use advanced Excel functions (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, macros) to manage, analyze, and report on large datasets. Develop interactive dashboards in Power BI to visualize vulnerability data and provide insights to stakeholders. Follow and enhance established processes to ensure consistent, repeatable, and efficient results. Stay informed about industry best practices, frameworks (e.g., NIST, CIS Controls), and emerging threats. Requirements: Cybersecurity Knowledge: Solid understanding of cybersecurity concepts, including risk assessment, threat modeling, and vulnerability management. Knowledge of risk reduction strategies, mitigation techniques, and ITIL methodologies. Familiarity with TCP/IP, networking concepts, and vulnerability scanning tools like Tenable Nessus or Tenable.sc. Awareness of industry frameworks such as NIST and CIS Controls. Ability to interpret scan results and communicate technical information to non-technical audiences. Excel and Power BI Skills: Proficiency in advanced Excel functions (e.g., conditional formatting, pivot tables, macros). Expertise in Power BI, including DAX queries and developing dashboards to present data-driven insights. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with NERC CIP standards and compliance requirements. Familiarity with documenting and reporting compliance-related activities. Certifications such as Security+, GSEC, GCIH, or TCSE. Exposure to Red or Purple Team operations.
