Position: Network Engineer Duration: 6 Months Cleveland MetroParks. Visa: $45/hr on C2C Visa: USC/GC/H4 Location: Cleveland, OH(Onsite) LinkedIn before 2021 2 references The Network and Communications Engineer manages, plans, secures and implements the Park Districts networking and telecommunications infrastructure, including all networking switches, routers, wireless (Wi-Fi) equipment, firewalls, and all other routers, etc. The Network Communications Engineer works with the Systems Administration Lead Technician in maintaining a relationship with telecommunication/WAN vendors and continually researches the latest technology as it applies to the current and future Park District data/voice/video infrastructure, needs and goals. This individual is responsible for two distinct networks . This individual serves as the chief configurator for all of the 50+ WAN sites via a combination of a MPLS network and VPN tunnel sites. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university in a computer related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Four or more recent years of hands-on experience in data network design & management utilizing Cisco router/switches, TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs and implementation in a multi-site environment. Demonstrated experience in the implementation, configuration and administration of firewalls, wireless networks and broadband services. Experience with Cisco Unified Wireless including configuration of wireless LAN controllers is desirable. Demonstrated PC proficiency Demonstrated strong project management skills Possessing working technical knowledge of current telecommunications practices, protocols, and principles. Demonstrated experience with current and legacy voice, data and video technologies including data/voice/video communications, video conferencing, audio conferencing, wireless networking, cell phones, voice over IP (VoIP), and telephone switch operations is desirable. Experience with radio communications preferred. Strong interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. Demonstrated experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. CERTIFICATION: CCNA, CCNE, CompTIA A+ and Network+ certifications desirable. Cisco certification is highly desirable.
