Position: QA Automation Engineer (JavaScript with Playwright)

Location: Alpharetta, GA (Hybrid Model)

Duration: Contract

Exp Level: Min 10 Years and Locals only. (F2F)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Automation Engineer with strong expertise in JavaScript and the Playwright automation framework to join our quality assurance and development team. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. You will collaborate with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to identify testing requirements, improve software quality, and accelerate the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Test Automation Development:
Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using the Playwright framework in JavaScript.
Write reusable, scalable, and maintainable test code to support comprehensive end-to-end test coverage.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the development and QA teams to understand application requirements and user stories.
Contribute to the design and refinement of testing strategies, test plans, and test cases.
Test Maintenance and Debugging:
Maintain and enhance the existing test automation suite to keep pace with evolving application features.
Troubleshoot test failures and investigate issues, identifying root causes and reporting bugs.
Performance and Cross-Browser Testing:
Conduct cross-browser testing to ensure compatibility across major browsers.
Use Playwright's capabilities to perform performance and accessibility testing.
CI/CD Integration:
Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure continuous testing and delivery.
Monitor automated test runs and provide timely feedback to stakeholders.
Documentation:
Document test processes, frameworks, and results to ensure transparency and alignment with QA standards.

Skills and Qualifications:

Technical Skills:
Proficient in JavaScript and Playwright automation framework.
Experience in writing automated tests for web applications, including functional, regression, and end-to-end tests.
Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and DOM manipulation for UI testing.
Knowledge of REST API testing.
Hands-on experience with Git, version control systems, and package managers like NPM OR YARN.
Frameworks and Tools:
Strong understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
Knowledge of other testing tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Puppeteer is a plus.
Soft Skills:
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
