This role is responsible for delivering complete test automation infrastructure and tools while adhering to best practices and principles. The Automation Architect will coach and mentor quality engineers, continuously improve automation standards, and lead efforts to enhance test effectiveness, coverage, and efficiency while reducing costs and testing cycles.Responsibilities: Define, develop, and implement a test automation strategy, roadmap, and framework/infrastructure. Collaborate with engineering teams to align on automation strategies, improve reliability, performance, and establish best practices. Streamline automation suites for both UI and API testing in a continuous integration pipeline. Provide technical leadership and coaching to SDETs and QA Automation Engineers. Conduct automated functional, regression, and smoke tests, analyzing results to generate detailed reports. Work with cross-functional teams to drive automation efforts across the organization. Design and implement solutions for test data and test artifacts management.Must-Have Experience: 10+ years in software testing, development, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in architecting and implementing test automation frameworks. Proven expertise in building test automation frameworks from scratch and applying industry best practices. Proficiency in automation testing tools for: UI Testing: Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber, Serenity. API Testing: Rest Assured, Karate. Mobile Testing: Appium, XCUItest. Advanced programming skills in Java or Python. Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and Test Automation Design Patterns such as PageObject, PageFactory, and ScreenPlay. Experience with Git for code and branch management. Expertise in building CI/CD pipelines for automated tests using Jenkins. Hands-on experience in building Selenium Grid infrastructure. Experience in cloud-based automation testing solutions. Knowledge of software development and test methodologies, TDD/BDD approaches, and relevant tools. Proficiency in test management tools like JIRA. Familiarity with Database Management Systems like Oracle and SAP HANA. Passion for quality, creativity, and willingness to explore new technologies.
