Position : Windows/Linux System Administrator Location : Colorado Springs, Colorado, hybrid , Travel: 50% Duration: 6 months C2h Visa: Only USC (Clearance: Secret (will be upgraded to TS) Interview: Video Job Description: - Experience: 4 years We are looking for a mid-level System Administrator with Linux and Windows experience. Admins will be maintaining smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network engineers. Monitors and manages system resources, including CPU usage, disk usage, and response times to maintain operating efficiency. Performs systems security administration functions, including creating user profiles and accounts. Other duties may include setting up administrator accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources. May be assigned responsibility for less experienced staff. Mid level Systems Administrator: - 50 % travel required to US, Germany, and Korea - Upgrade/Install support- troubleshooting Windows/Linux machines - Support users and hardware during training exercises - LDAP, AD, Windows/Linux OS - Scripting: Power, Python, Ant, and Bash - VMware patching and maintenance - Documentation and Install manuals - Uploading images to disks for software releases Top Skills' Details: 1. 3-4 years of experience as a Systems Administrator in windows environment- troubleshooting, installs, user support, AD, LDAP, ISAM 2. 3-4 years of experience within Linux commands- specifically related to Docker is a nice to have 3. 3-4 years of experience writing and updating install manuals/documentation 50% TRAVEL REQUIRED- US, Germany, Korea (1-2 weeks at a time- usually 10 days for international) MUST HAVE SECRET CLEARANCE- TOP SECRET IS PREFERRED BUT CAN UPGRADE Must have Sec+ or better- can start without as long as willing to get the cert in a short time frame Additional Skills & Qualifications: EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Works on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative. Develops solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope following detailed instructions. Bachelor's (or equivalent) with typically 2+ years of experience or 4+ years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
