GCP Software Engineer Opportunity Houston, TX (Onsite) Location: Houston, TX (Onsite) Duration: 6+ months Visa: Open to all visa types ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities Analyze GCP workloads for performance tuning and cost optimization. Identify and implement cost-saving measures for services like BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and other data warehouse workloads. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather insights and ensure effective implementation of optimizations. Provide hands-on expertise in performance tuning to achieve best price-performance outcomes. Develop technical solutions to enhance system efficiency and reduce costs. Document findings, recommendations, and implemented optimizations. ________________________________________ Requirements Experience: o5+ years in GCP environments, including production workloads. oProven expertise in GCP performance tuning, cost optimization, and workload analysis. oExperience with BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and other GCP-based DW workloads. Technical Skills: oDeep understanding of GCP architecture and cost structures. oProficiency in optimizing BigQuery queries and Dataflow pipelines. oKnowledge of GCP pricing models and cost management best practices. oFamiliarity with CI/CD workflows and cloud automation. oExperience with monitoring tools like GCP Monitoring and Stackdriver. Soft Skills: oStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities. oExcellent communication and documentation skills. ________________________________________ Preferred Qualifications Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect. Experience with data warehouse migrations and transformations on GCP. Knowledge of IaC tools like Terraform. Scripting and automation expertise for cloud environments.
