Duration: 12+ months contract Visa: US Citizens and Green Card Holders only Experience: 8+ years of professional software development experience Special Requirement: Must have strong automobile industry experience, especially prior GM experience is highly desirable.Core Responsibilities: Software Development: Develop scalable software solutions based on detailed business requirements. Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, including development, deployment, and refinement of solutions. Engage in development activities, driving technical efforts and delivering software projects successfully. Collaboration & Problem Solving: Work collaboratively within cross-functional teams. Demonstrate a strong work ethic and the ability to challenge oneself with innovative ideas. Address software issues related to code quality, security, usability, and performance. Technology Focus: Work with Java, Angular, and SQL for full-stack development. Experience with Spring Boot, cloud platforms (Azure), Kubernetes, Docker, and HPC platforms. Experience in API development, unit testing, and UI development using Angular. Proficient in multi-threaded development and performance tuning. Software & System Architecture: Design, propose, and deliver solutions across the architecture. Ensure that solutions align with secured development patterns and practices. Work on build/release automation with a focus on unit testing, code quality, and security scanning. Automotive Industry Knowledge: Understanding of electrical wiring harnesses, vehicle diagnostics, and general electrical concepts is a plus. Agile & Best Practices: Experience working in an agile environment. Demonstrated expertise in software development best practices.Required Skills & Qualifications: Technical Expertise: 7+ years of professional software development experience. Strong knowledge of Java, Angular, SQL, Spring Boot, and multi-threaded development. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, Kubernetes, Docker, and HPC. Experience with UI Design and API development. Tools & Platforms: Azure TFS, UI Framework Development, API Framework Development, Build/Release Automation, Unit Testing, Kubernetes/Docker. Soft Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team. Comfortable working in an ambiguous environment and adapting to change quickly.Desirable: Prior experience with General Motors (GM).
