The role supports cross-enterprise government divisions building a new application to manage a mission critical program and ensuring compliance with USDA regulations.What You'll Do: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement software solutions focused on both front-end and back-end development. Provide work estimates, track progress, and ensure project milestones are met. Develop technical designs, program specifications, and prototypes. Elicit and refine requirements to transform them into high-functioning code. Design and integrate individual software solutions with dependent systems. Utilize performance optimization techniques such as lazy loading, server-side rendering (SSR), and static site generation (SSG). Test, debug, and optimize both front-end and back-end components to meet performance and functional requirements. Provide training, knowledge transfer, and documentation to technical support staff. Mentor junior developers and ensure adherence to best practices and high code quality standards.What You Bring: Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in full-stack web development, with at least 3 years focused on React and Next.js. Technical Skills: Proficiency in React, Next.js, Node.js, and Express. Experience with RESTful APIs or GraphQL. Strong SQL skills, including designing and optimizing complex queries. Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Mocha) and unit, integration, and end-to-end testing. Expertise in performance optimization, server-side rendering (SSR), and static site generation (SSG). Ability to create and manage reusable component libraries using React and Material UI. Collaboration: Proven ability to work with UI/UX designers and business users to implement responsive, accessible, and visually appealing interfaces. Problem-Solving: Analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to debugging and resolving performance bottlenecks.
