Job Title: Lead DBA Location : Dallas, TX (Onsite) Duration : Contractual Position Summary: Selected Responsibilities Oracle Database Administration with AWS-certified professional and 24x7 Operations support. Providing support on a wide range of database development and administration functions in a RAC configuration, including troubleshooting database issues, advising clients on new database features, and leading studies to evaluate the effectiveness of current database architecture. Database administration tasks include ensuring database availability, SQL monitoring and performance tuning, quarterly maintenance and upgrade operations, backup and recovery operations. Perform day-to-day Oracle administration tasks and perform troubleshooting on the databases Experience with Oracle RAC/Standalone installation/build on all UNIX/Linux environments. Good knowledge of Oracle architecture. Good knowledge of Backup strategies (RMAN, Data pump, Exp/Imp etc.). Experienced/Knowledge in performance tuning with tools like (AWR, ADDM, ASH, SQL tuning advisor, SQL access advisor, SQL profile, SQL baseline, resource management). Good Knowledge of Real Applications Clusters, Data Guard, Flashback technology, Recovery Manager. Experienced in Schema management / Tablespace management. Experienced in standalone and RAC database patching. Good knowledge of Golden Gate/Share plex replication. Should be good in documenting the issues. Working Knowledge in AWS/Cloud environments. Cloud migration experience from Oracle to AWS Experience with DevOps technologies like Jenkins, Ansible, Python. Working closely with stakeholders (onshore and offshore) to troubleshoot live application issues in the timely fashion (CMD, Outages etc.) Designing, developing and maintaining applications and databases by evaluating client needs, analyzing requirements and developing software systems. Experience in debugging and optimization. It would be good if had experience of other DB technologies like Cassandra/Postgres/MySQL/Couchbase DB. Good communication, documentation and presentation skills. Working collaboratively with Development, Application Support and Quality Assurance teams Assessing and understanding the operational requirements to improve operational performance and business processes.
