Job Title: System Software Engineer Location : Lisle, IL (Onsite) Duration : Contractual Position Summary: Selected Responsibilities Utilize extensive knowledge of J1939 messaging, including understanding SPNs (Suspect Parameter Numbers), PGNs (Parameter Group Numbers), and DM1 messages. Perform CAN network and component testing to ensure compliance and functionality. Leverage expertise in UDS (Unified Diagnostic Services) for vehicle diagnostics. Use CANdela software for CAN database and diagnostic development. Collaborate within an agile development environment and actively contribute to sprint planning and execution. Manage project tasks and workflows using Jira. Develop and simulate models using Simulink for testing and analysis. Work cross-functionally with engineering teams to debug and resolve network-related issues. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, or related field (preferred). 5+ years of relevant experience in CAN diagnostics, testing, and network communication. Proficiency in J1939 messaging protocols, including SPNs, PGNs, and DM1 messages. Hands-on experience with CANdela and UDS protocols. Familiarity with agile methodologies and tools like Jira. Experience with CAN network/component testing and troubleshooting. Proficient in Simulink for modeling and simulation.
