This is a contract position that offers the flexibility of working remotely, with occasional collaboration with teams based in San Francisco, CA. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in architecting scalable React Native applications and leading cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities: Architect, design, and develop high-performance, scalable, and user-friendly mobile applications using React Native. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to define application features and requirements. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the development team, ensuring best practices are followed. Drive architectural decisions, including component reusability, state management, and application performance optimization. Ensure seamless integration of third-party APIs and libraries, including analytics, payments, and push notifications. Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot issues, and optimize application performance. Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in React Native and mobile application development. Qualifications: Required: Strong experience in React Native development (5+ years preferred). Proven expertise in architecting large-scale mobile applications. Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript. Experience with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, MobX, Recoil). Deep understanding of mobile application lifecycles and platform-specific nuances (iOS and Android). Hands-on experience integrating third-party APIs and libraries. Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and backend services. Experience with performance monitoring and optimization tools. Familiarity with mobile CI/CD pipelines and app deployment to App Store and Google Play Store. Preferred: Knowledge of Native Modules and integration with React Native. Experience with Expo. Familiarity with cross-platform performance optimization techniques. Understanding of secure coding practices and mobile app security. Prior experience leading or mentoring development teams. Skills and Competencies: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently in a remote environment. Adaptability to rapidly changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
