Position Title: Sr Business Systems Analyst Location: Pittsburgh, PA - Hybrid Years of Experience: 10+ years applicable experience required Industry background: - BSA Finance FISERV (payment processing /funding) Team Dynamic: A Larger Group Including: Team Lead Design Architects UI/UX Developers Roles and Responsibilities: Working with architects and developers, working with capability groups, more administrative work with Jira and Confluence, lots of group work, very learn as you go position Work with other Business Analysts and Product Architects to build product enhancements or new products for our technology platform that complement our payment solutions Gather and document business requirements Create and develop user stories, flowcharts, workflows and process diagrams Work closely with the UI/UX Designers to build best-in-class user experiences Support testing and training to ensure the successful implementation and maintenance of new or existing products Maintain overall product knowledge across solutions Perform other related duties as assigned Preferred Skills, Abilities, and Experience: Experience with Atlassian tools such as Confluence and Jira Experience writing users stories and acceptance criteria using industry standard methodologies Skilled in the creation of workflows and diagrams for complex solutions Understanding of how to elicit functional and non-functional requirements Ability to communicate with development teams and experience designers Must Have Technical Skills: (Min 8years of experience in all of the below required skills) Jira/Confluence Waterfall/Agile/Scaled Agile Experience Translating User stories into technical requirements (gherkin) Summary: The main function is to analyze science, engineering, business and all other data processing problems for application to electronic data processing systems. A typical business systems analyst is responsible for analyzing user requirements, procedures and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities, workflow and scheduling limitations. Job Responsibilities: Gather requirements from business units and translate those to programmers and developers. Confer with clients regarding the nature of the information processing or computation needs. Prepare cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to aid in decisions on system implementation. Interview or survey workers, observe job performance or perform the job to determine what information is processed and how it is processed. Coordinate and link the computer systems within an organization to increase compatibility and so information can be shared. Consult with management to ensure agreement on system principles. Expand or modify system to serve new purposes or improve work flow. Skills: Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage ones time. Basic mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback. Knowledge of design techniques and principles involved in production of drawings and models.
