Location is hybrid(NY/NJ, Chicago, Texas) We are seeking a skilled FortiGate Security Administrator to implement and manage deep packet inspection (DPI) capabilities across our network infrastructure. This role will focus on enhancing our security posture through advanced traffic inspection, SSL/TLS inspection, and threat prevention using FortiGate's deep inspection features. Primary Responsibilities Design and implement deep inspection policies across FortiGate firewalls Configure and manage SSL/TLS inspection for encrypted traffic analysis Develop and maintain security profiles for application control, IPS, web filtering, and antivirus Implement certificate management for SSL inspection Monitor and optimize deep inspection performance Handle security incidents related to deep packet inspection findings Technical Requirements Strong understanding of FortiGate's deep inspection capabilities and architecture Expertise in SSL/TLS protocols and certificate management Proficiency in configuring FortiGate security profiles and policies Knowledge of network protocols and application behavior Experience with log analysis and security monitoring Understanding of encryption technologies and security implications Experience with SSL/TLS inspection deployment Knowledge of certificate management and PKI Understanding of application protocols and behaviors Expertise in security profile configuration Experience with custom signature creation Proficiency in bypass rule configuration Required Skills Deep packet inspection configuration and troubleshooting SSL/TLS inspection implementation and management Security profile creation and optimization Network protocol analysis Performance tuning and optimization Incident response and investigation Policy development and documentation Professional Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field 10+ years of network security experience NSE 4 certification required (NSE 5 and NSE 6 preferred) CISSP, CCNP Security, or equivalent certifications desired Project Management Plan and execute deep inspection implementations Coordinate with application teams for testing and validation Manage exceptions and whitelist requests Document processes and procedures Provide regular status updates to stakeholders Keywords: New Jersey New York FortiGate Security Administrator - Deep Inspection Specialist [email protected] |
