The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in AWS cloud services, performance testing using JMeter, JVM tuning for optimal application performance, and Python programming for automation and scripting. The role involves working closely with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure systems meet performance expectations.Key Responsibilities Performance Testing & Monitoring: Design, develop, and execute performance tests using JMeter. Analyze test results and provide recommendations for performance optimization. Monitor application performance and system behavior under load. JVM Tuning: Conduct JVM performance profiling and tuning (e.g., garbage collection, heap size, thread pools). Identify and resolve memory leaks, thread synchronization issues, and other JVM-related bottlenecks. AWS Cloud Optimization: Design and implement scalable, high-availability solutions on AWS. Optimize AWS resource utilization for cost-effectiveness and performance. Troubleshoot cloud-based performance issues and provide actionable solutions. Scripting & Automation: Develop automation scripts in Python for performance testing and analysis. Create custom tools or scripts for log parsing, data visualization, and monitoring. Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to identify performance bottlenecks. Provide technical guidance for optimizing application architecture and infrastructure.Required Skills Performance Testing Tools: Expertise with JMeter for creating and executing test plans. JVM Tuning: Strong knowledge of Java Virtual Machine (JVM) tuning, garbage collection, and memory management. AWS: Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, and Lambda. Python: Proficiency in Python scripting for automation and troubleshooting. Monitoring Tools: Familiarity with tools like Dynatrace, AppDynamics, or New Relic for application performance monitoring. CI/CD Pipelines: Experience with Jenkins, GitLab, or similar tools for integrating performance testing into the CI/CD process.Preferred Skills Experience with Kubernetes and Docker for containerized applications. Familiarity with SQL and database performance tuning. Knowledge of performance optimizations in a microservices architecture. Understanding of networking concepts and tools such as Wireshark or Fiddler.Qualifications Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 7+ years of experience in performance engineering.
