Hello Professionals, We have openings for: Job title: MS SQL Database Administrator Job Location: Plano, TX (Remote) Contract Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled MS SQL Database Administrator with 8 to 9 years of experience in SQL Server DB Administration and MS SQL Server. This role is crucial in ensuring the integrity and performance of our data systems, which are vital for our company's operations and societal impact. Experience: 8 to 9 years Required Skills: MS SQL DB Administration (Creating new Database, backup & restore, Troubleshooting at DB level, Security, Performance analysis, DB Maintenance) MS SQL Server Responsibilities: Production: Creating new database for re- Restore in secondary nodes Would require access to production New DB created .. back up needs to be taken and restore to secondary nodes HA & DR / DAG Ability to request or create storage on servers Troubleshooting database related issues only DB level not Server level during cutover Security users / roles Creating jobs Assigning DB users security Performance analysis includes access to every tools in production, like Solar winds During prod cutover period Non- Production: Restore data from production to stage - DBA Create new Databases in stage, includes file storages - DBA Would require access to production Ability to request or create storage on servers Troubleshooting database related issues DBA Running DB maintenance on DB - DBA Security users / roles Creating jobs Assigning DB users security Performance analysis includes access to tools, ability to install Solar winds etc. Qualifications: Extensive experience in SQL Server DB Administration and MS SQL Server. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong understanding of database security and compliance requirements. Proactive in identifying and addressing potential issues. Experience with database performance tuning and optimization. Familiarity with backup and recovery best practices. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development. Ability to create and maintain comprehensive documentation.
