The position requires a candidate with a proven record in creating user-centered designs, optimizing workflows, and developing robust UX architecture, including sitemaps, journey maps, wireflows, and taxonomy designs. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders to design and implement solutions that meet business objectives, technical constraints, and user needs, while ensuring accessibility and usability standards are met. Required Qualifications : Qualifications: 5+ years of professional experience in UI/UX design, with 3+ years using tools such as Figma, Sketch, Zeplin, Axure, or Adobe XD. Expertise in human-centered design principles, accessibility, and usability. Experience creating customer journey maps, information architectures, and reusable design systems. Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders. Proficiency in developing prototypes to test ideas and inform design decisions. Knowledge of A/B testing, behavioral analytics, and applying insights to optimize user experience. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and understand user needs. Conduct user research, usability testing, and data analysis to inform design decisions. Develop UX architecture including sitemaps, journey maps, wireflows, and taxonomy designs. Design and prototype low- and high-fidelity models to validate concepts and iterate based on feedback. Create reusable component libraries and design systems for consistency across platforms. Develop web components aligned with modern HTML/CSS standards and WCAG accessibility guidelines. Work closely with developers to implement pixel-perfect designs. Perform knowledge transfer to ensure State staff can maintain and enhance the application.
