From: Mohit, Vkore Solutions [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] DEVOPS ENGINEER Key Responsibilities: System Reliability & Availability: Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of production systems. Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues impacting system performance and uptime. Establish Service Level Objectives (SLOs), Service Level Indicators (SLIs), and Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Incident Management & Problem Resolution: Respond to and manage critical production incidents, ensuring rapid root cause analysis and recovery. Post-incident reviews to ensure learnings are incorporated into future processes and systems. Implement and maintain automated incident response systems. Automation & Tooling: Automate repetitive tasks such as deployment, scaling, and monitoring using scripts, tools, and CI/CD pipelines. Build and improve monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify issues before they affect end-users. Develop self-healing and auto-scaling systems to improve overall efficiency. Collaboration & Integration: Work closely with software engineers to build and maintain reliable services and infrastructure. Collaborate in the design, development, and deployment of new features. Contribute to code reviews, ensuring best practices for reliability, security, and performance. Capacity Planning & Optimization: Analyze system performance and predict capacity requirements to ensure scalability. Implement resource optimization strategies to minimize cost without sacrificing performance. Security & Compliance: Ensure system security and implement best practices for infrastructure protection. Maintain compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements for the systems you manage. Required Skills and Qualifications: Experience: Proven experience as a Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or similar role in managing production environments. Strong understanding of cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible, etc.). Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, etc.). Technical Skills: Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language (e.g., Python, Go, Bash, etc.). Strong understanding of networking, system administration, and distributed systems. Knowledge of load balancing, caching, and database management. Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage critical incidents effectively. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across teams. A proactive, self-motivated attitude with a focus on continuous improvement.
