Looking Onsite || Groovy Developer || McLean ,VA (Local) Groovy Developer with Jenkins, JIRA API integration and python Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain applications using Groovy and Grails. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to best practices. Collaborate with the development team to create and enhance backend services and APIs. Integrate Groovy-based applications with various databases and third-party services. Perform code reviews and provide feedback to team members. Troubleshoot and debug applications to ensure optimal performance and resolve any issues. Contribute to the architecture and design of complex systems. Write unit and integration tests to ensure high code quality. Participate in Agile/Scrum development processes, including sprint planning and stand-ups. Continuously improve your skills and stay up-to-date with new technologies and trends in Groovy and related frameworks. Assist with the deployment and monitoring of applications in production environments. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proficiency in Groovy and experience working with the Groovy ecosystem. Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts. Experience with Grails or other Groovy-based frameworks. Hands-on experience with databases, including SQL and NoSQL systems (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB). Familiarity with RESTful API design and integration. Solid understanding of version control systems, such as Git. Knowledge of front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment. Experience with Agile development methodologies.
