Role - Frontend Developer Hybrid On site RI Hybrid On site RI 12 Months Video to Hire unless Local We are seeking a skilled Frontend Developer with expertise in Angular and Electron to join a dynamic Retail Store Systems team. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing desktop applications designed to enhance the experiences and workflows of store employees. You will leverage your strong knowledge of Angular for building responsive, user-centric interfaces, while also utilizing Electron to create cross-platform desktop applications that can interact with the underlying operating systems to provide rich, native experiences. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain desktop applications using Angular and Electron for store employees. Build and implement high-performance, responsive user interfaces with Angular to improve store employee workflows. Integrate frontend components with backend services and APIs to enhance system functionality. Utilize Electron to provide native desktop functionality, such as system notifications and file management, tailored to the needs of store operations. Troubleshoot and debug desktop application issues across multiple platforms (Windows, macOS, Linux). Collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure applications meet business objectives and improve operational efficiency. Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and ensure adherence to best development practices. Must-Have Skills: 5+ years of experience with Angular, including TypeScript, Angular Material, and state management. Proven experience developing desktop applications using Electron. Strong skills in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS. Experience integrating RESTful APIs and backend services into frontend applications. Ability to troubleshoot and optimize performance across different desktop platforms (Windows, macOS, Linux). Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and creating intuitive user interfaces for store employees. Nice-to-Have Skills: Experience with additional frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js). Familiarity with Electron packaging tools (e.g., Electron Forge or Electron Builder). Experience working in retail or with retail applications, particularly for store operations. Knowledge of DevOps tools and pipelines for building and deploying desktop applications. Familiarity with desktop application security best practices.
