Title:Business Analyst(regulatory reporting) Loc:NYC Duration: 12 Months+ Description: Responsibilities: Perform substantive analysis to gather requirements including data tracing from trade capture systems to the regulatory reporting Lead independent Implementation on Transaction regulatory reporting. Design Control Models to validate and test requirements. Perform data analysis to identify anomalies as part of findings, based on facilitation with stake holders. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial/regulatory reporting requirements. Document findings, determine root cause of action and conclusions with reporting to the stakeholders Implementing data entry validation checks to ensure accurate and valid data. Conducting data reconciliation to identify discrepancies or inconsistencies. Performing data quality checks to address issues such as missing values or duplicate records. Verifying data accuracy through independent cross-checks and audits. Establishing data governance policies and controls to maintain data accuracy. Monitoring and reporting mechanisms to track data accuracy. Continuously improving data accuracy processes and controls based on feedback and best practices. Non-technical skills: Understanding of Transaction reg reporting US CFTC , CAT , OFR, 605-606 etc UK PTT, EMIR , MIFID etc APAC MAS, DSOL etc Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and ensure they meet stakeholder expectations. Highly detail-oriented with excellent communication and analytical skills. Ability to effectively communicate between development and business teams. Familiarity with financial products and trade lifecycle. Proven track record of building strong collaborative relationships with business partners and department leads. Technical Skills: Proficient in writing, updating, and executing SQL queries. Strong excel skills. Basic ability to read code. Knowledge of Python, particularly pandas Data frame. Familiarity with validation and control points for data accuracy.
