Business Intelligence Data Analyst Job Description Position Title: Data Analyst Duration : Long term. Location : Remote Over- all exp: 10 years + Rate : 65/hr Interviews started for this role. We need someone with a healthcare background only. Job Description 02.2024 The position works directly with internal business partners and management for data collection, statistical analysis, and documentation. Expertise in creating formulas, calculations, and graphs in Microsoft Excel. RDBMS - Thorough understanding of the techniques used in relational Database Management Systems. SQL Demonstrated ability in creating complex SQL queries language statements for analytical data mining. Use of SQL to create basic statistical analysis. Data Mining Competent with data mining activities and data analysis techniques in healthcare data, and the ability to identify problems, develop logical conclusions, and provide effective solutions. Report Generation - Ability to work with end users to identify reporting requirements. Statistical Analysis - Understanding of providing statistical analysis, verification of sample sizes required to develop a statistically valid model. Correct uses of sampling tests, statistical analysis tests and metrics. Provide compliance reporting for the State of California. Interacts with business leads in review of new concepts and ideas, project implementation, and problem resolution. Understand extract, load, and translate (ETL) processes and database population. Create and maintain documentation for the Business Development team, reporting, methodologies, and other areas as needed. Work and communicate effectively with the various professionals throughout the organization. Design and develop Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations to meet business requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for leveraging Power BI to drive business insights and improvements. Provide technical support and training to end-users on Power BI usage, functionality, and best practices. Education and Experience: The Data Analyst candidate must possess: A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field from an accredited institution or equivalent Minimum of four (4) years progressive experience in report writing or reporting analytics preferably for a medium to large health care organization or six (6) years of experience as a Business Analysts with <CLIENT> or similar organization with an emphasis on business analytics Must have well developed technical skills that come from a Degree in Information Systems and 3-4 years of general reporting with some statistical analysis experience. Preferred Experience with: An understanding of managed care and the benefits of a centralized standard reporting team for an organization is highly recommended. Candidate must be a highly organized.
