Job Title: Enterprise Applications Engineer (SRE) (Hybrid, Atlanta) Max Rate: $45/hr Location: Local to Atlanta (Hybrid Work Model) We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Enterprise Applications Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial for managing, supporting, and improving a portfolio of enterprise applications to ensure operational excellence. This is an exciting opportunity for someone eager to grow into a leadership position. You will play a critical role in both hands-on support and eventually leading a small team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, a proactive problem-solving mindset, and a passion for continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: Application Management: Oversee enterprise applications, proactively identifying and resolving potential issues to minimize disruptions. Perform regular maintenance tasks, including patching, upgrades, and environment monitoring. Operational Support: Diagnose and resolve complex break-fix issues to ensure minimal downtime and maintain application health. Act as the lead responder for Priority 1 incidents, driving resolution and ensuring clear communication with stakeholders. Use monitoring tools (e.g., New Relic) to track application performance and generate actionable insights. Project Leadership: Own, drive, and provide status updates for strategic projects across the application portfolio. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful transitions from project delivery to operational support. Development & Innovation: Assist in designing and delivering innovative application features and solutions. Contribute to automating operational tasks and improving efficiency. Team Leadership: Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, fostering collaboration and a culture of excellence. Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with peers, leaders, and stakeholders. Qualifications: Required: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 8+ years of experience in enterprise applications engineering or a related role. Advanced proficiency in Power Platform, WordPress, and server/systems administration (Windows and Linux). Proven experience handling Priority 1 incidents and complex operational issues. Strong understanding of New Relic and other application performance monitoring tools. Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a dynamic environment. Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. Leadership potential, with experience in mentoring and guiding team members. Preferred: Experience with Azure and/or AWS cloud platforms. Familiarity with SharePoint site design and user permission management. Knowledge of APIs for process automation. Experience with Salesforce and packaged business capabilities (PBCs). Prior experience leading strategic initiatives or projects.
