Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Onsite Test Automation/Functional Lead for our customers Digital Enrollment Modernization Program. This initiative involves functional testing, automation, and coordination across multiple advanced technologies, including Kafka, Databricks, ADLS, MongoDB, and Appian BPM. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in test automation using Python and strong coordination skills to manage scrum teams across Onshore and Offshore locations. The Onsite Test Automation Lead will play a critical role in ensuring the success of the program by leading the test automation efforts, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring high-quality deliverables on time. Key Responsibilities: 1. Test Automation Leadership & Strategy: Lead Test Automation Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive test automation strategy and framework using Python, ensuring it aligns with the requirements of the Digital Enrollment Modernization Program. Automation Framework Development: Design and develop reusable test automation frameworks for functional testing of Kafka, Databricks, ADLS, MongoDB, and Appian BPM platforms. Test Automation Planning: Collaborate with development and testing teams to plan test automation efforts, define timelines, and ensure comprehensive test coverage across all impacted areas. Test Script Design: Create and maintain automated test scripts for both backend and frontend components, ensuring that they meet functional and non-functional requirements. 2. Functional Testing and Automation: Kafka Testing: Develop and execute automated test cases for Kafka messaging system, ensuring message integrity, performance, and functional correctness. Databricks & ADLS Testing: Automate functional testing for Databricks (for data processing) and Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) to validate data pipelines, data transformation, and storage scenarios. MongoDB Testing: Develop automated tests for MongoDB to validate data storage, retrieval, and performance under various scenarios. Appian BPM Testing: Lead the automation of functional tests for Appian BPM workflows, ensuring integration points and business process validation. Data Validation: Ensure automated tests validate data consistency, correctness, and integration between multiple systems (Kafka, Databricks, ADLS, MongoDB, Appian). 3. Team Coordination and Collaboration: Coordinate Between Onshore and Offshore Teams: Lead and facilitate communication and collaboration between the Onshore and Offshore teams (12 scrum teams, 25+ people), ensuring seamless execution and integration of test automation efforts. Agile Scrum Participation: Actively participate in Agile scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) and coordinate testing deliverables with scrum masters and product owners. Team Mentoring & Guidance: Provide leadership and mentorship to junior testers and automation engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement in the test automation process. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product owners, developers, and business analysts to understand functional requirements and translate them into automated test cases. 4. Test Execution and Reporting: Test Execution: Oversee the execution of automated tests, monitor their progress, and ensure the timely resolution of any failures. Test Reporting & Documentation: Generate detailed test reports, dashboards, and metrics to track the progress of test automation and quality metrics. Ensure proper documentation of automation processes and scripts. Defect Management: Act as the point of contact for defect identification, reporting, and resolution, ensuring quick turnaround on high-priority issues. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in testing and automation, implementing best practices and tools to increase efficiency and effectiveness. 5. Quality Assurance & Best Practices: Best Practices Implementation: Promote best practices in test automation, including modular test design, use of version control, and efficient test execution. Tool Evaluation & Selection: Evaluate new tools and technologies for potential integration into the automation framework. Stay current with industry trends in automation and quality assurance. Performance & Load Testing: Implement automated performance testing, focusing on high-load scenarios, ensuring scalability and resilience of the systems under test. Key Requirements: Experience: 7-10 years of hands-on experience in Test Automation with a strong focus on Python, and testing of complex systems involving Kafka, Databricks, ADLS, MongoDB, and Appian BPM. Mandatory Experience: 834 EDI Files Handling: Hands-on experience with the 834 EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) standard, particularly in healthcare data exchanges. JSON File Handling: Experience in working with JSON data formats, including validation and parsing of JSON files. Digital Enrollment Functional Knowledge: Strong understanding of digital enrollment processes, including data handling, processing, and integration between different platforms. Test Automation Expertise: Proven track record in designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test frameworks using Python (with libraries such as PyTest, Selenium, Robot Framework, etc.). Optional Skills: BPM Testing Expertise: Experience in testing Business Process Management (BPM) systems such as Appian or other BPM tools. Kafka Testing Tools: Familiarity with testing tools for Kafka, such as Kafka Manager, Kafka Tools, or kafkacat. Performance Testing Tools: Familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter, Gatling, or LoadRunner for load and stress testing. Cloud and Data Testing: Understanding of cloud platforms (especially Azure), data pipelines, and big data testing, particularly with Databricks and ADLS. Agile Experience: Hands-on experience in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban), and a solid understanding of Agile principles and ceremonies. Leadership Skills: Experience in leading cross-functional teams, particularly in coordinating Onshore and Offshore teams. Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement and team coordination. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex testing challenges across various platforms. Preferred Skills: Certifications: Relevant certifications in Test Automation, Python, EDI, or Agile/Scrum will be a plus.
