Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Java Middleware/Backend Developer to support compliance-related solutions and systems. This is a hands-on role requiring a proactive and self-driven individual to deliver high-quality code and robust solutions in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities: Develop and implement solutions to meet business needs, focusing on service-oriented architectures. Research, design, develop, and/or modify enterprise systems and applications. Prototype innovative solutions and recommend new technologies to enhance the client experience. Deploy and support applications in production and non-production environments. Maintain application stability and drive code quality in an agile environment. Collaborate with architectural peers, product owners, UX/UI teams, stakeholders, and globally distributed teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions. Contribute to project planning, including timetables, intermediate deliverables, and analysis. Define engineering best practices, mentor team members, and promote test-driven development (TDD) and elegant coding practices. Draft specifications for new products, applications, and services. Balance multiple priorities and meet project deadlines. Non-Negotiable Skills: Core Development Skills: 8+ years of experience with Java 17+, Spring 6, and JPA. Relational Databases: 5+ years working with PostgreSQL, Oracle (PL/SQL, stored procedures, tuning, and optimization). Enterprise Web Applications: Strong expertise in SaaS application development with Spring Framework, Hibernate, and application servers like WebSphere or Tomcat. API Development: Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs and microservices. DevOps Tools: Proficiency with Docker, deployment tools, and continuous delivery pipelines. Testing: Experience with JUnit, automated testing, TDD, and CI/CD practices. Agile Methodology: Familiarity with Scrum, Agile, or iterative development approaches. Tools: Practical experience with Rally, Jira, GitHub, and Jenkins. Exceptional problem-solving skills and creative thinking. Preferred Skills (Negotiable): Relevant industry certifications. Experience in designing and deploying cloud-based solutions. Knowledge of emerging technologies and their application in enterprise systems.
