Data Engineer experience with infrastructure 6 Months with possible extensions Contract to hire Austin, TX (Work from office) We need Data Engineer who has exp with Terraform + Kubernetes + Java / Python + GCP/AWS/Azure + Cloud Platform Engineering / Infrastructure. Here is the updated JD Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering or related field OR related practical experience 5+ years of experience in a software engineering role (Infrastructure or Application) 2+ years of experience in public cloud (AWS, GCP or Azure) 5+ years in a programming language (Java, Python, Go desired) Experience in Container Orchestration (Kubernetes desired) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform desired) Proven ability to design components in Container Orchestration (Kubernetes desired) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform desired). Experience in cloud networking and compute (GCE, Firewalls, etc.), and IaC Resources and Modules setup (Terraform) Strong Software Engineering and Design background - Java, Python, Go - with interest in Cloud Platform Engineering. Should have strong Software Engineering concepts and fundamentals. Experience on standing up / engineering Cloud Platform infrastructure from scratch (Greenfield Experience) with best practices implementation. Should have strong Kubernetes engineering experience. Should have strong Terraform code / modules writing experience (from scratch instead of modifying the existing code. Should be able to drive the Cloud Infrastructure setup independently. Should have experience or should be able to provide the automation solution ideas for the Cloud Platform Provisioning.
