Role: .NET Architect Location: Albany, New York Duration: 30 Months Job ID: SLG - 19 - 10195 Description The Department of Public Service requires assistance with design, development, and implementation of the Utility Events Dashboard .NET Core application. The Utility Event Dashboard (UED) project will provide real-time exchange of outage data between seven electric utility companies and the Department.The improvements will include enhanced capabilities using GIS and relational database management systems as well as advanced analytic and reporting functionalities to enable complex statistical and spatial analysis. The new system will contribute the Departments emergency reporting capabilities, provide responders with accurate information that can be a key part in decision making, and help staff provide safe and reliable service to the public. Duties The consultant will guide and serve developers in the .Net Development Team implementing Design and Modify system functionality per change request (.Net Core C#, Oracle) Design, develop, configure, troubleshoot .Net Core applications as part of the larger UED infrastructure. Automated Builds and Deployment with TFS, All tiers of the application including Web, Data, App, and APIs for information exchange. Security Authentication and Authorization Make software and system design recommendations. Identify and correct performance issues. Mentor system development team Assistance in development of software/hardware requirements for Development, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Production environment. Mandatory Requirements Experience ( 14+Years) Defines the architecture of a computerized system (i.e., a system composed of software and hardware) in order to fulfill certain requirement, including a breakdown of the system into components, the component interactions and interfaces (including with the environment, especially the user), and the technologies and resources to be used in the design.
