Job Title: APIGEE Architect Location: Bolingbrook, IL (Remote ok) Duration: 6 Months Mandatory skill: Apigee API design, API management Job Description: Candidate should have deep and thorough knowledge of the Apigee platforms, including proxy development, analytics, CI/CD integration, X and Hybrid architecture, and networking requirements for all Apigee form all Apigee factors (Edge Cloud, OPDK, Hybrid, and X). Documented experience in designing and guiding the build and usage of Apigee implementations is essential. should will be responsible for leading the design, development, and deployment of API solutions using Apigee API Management platform. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality API integration and support the scalability of enterprise systems. This role demands a deep understanding of API lifecycle management, security, and performance optimization Key Responsibilities: Lead the Design and implementation of API proxies using Apigee Edge/Hybrid. Design API architecture and define API governance frameworks. Collaborate with application teams to define and implement API strategies. Ensure security best practices (OAuth, JWT, API keys) are applied to APIs. Monitor API performance, optimize for scalability, and troubleshoot issues. Integrate Apigee with identity providers for SSO and API security (e.g., OAuth, SAML). Manage API product lifecycle, including versioning and retirement. Provide leadership and guidance to development teams in API best practices. Manage and maintain API documentation for internal and external developers. Stay updated on the latest industry trends related to APIs, API management, and microservices. Skills and Qualifications: Proven experience with Apigee API Management platform (Apigee Edge, Apigee X, or Hybrid). Strong expertise in RESTful API design and architecture. Experience with API security, traffic management, and OAuth2 implementation. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and API automation. Solid understanding of microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). Preferred: Experience with multi-cloud API management (AWS, P, Azure). Experience with Apigee Developer Portal. Knowledge of caching mechanisms and performance optimization techniques.
