AWS Architect

The Contractor shall provide administration and maintenance to assist the Client with Amazon Web Services (AWS) projects. The Contractor will provide the following services:

1.1 Web Hosting and Amazon Web Services (AWS) Infrastructure Support

1.2 The Contractor shall provide ongoing maintenance and support for the AWS infrastructure, including CloudFront, all EC2 instances, and any other AWS services used to serve, protect, and maintain uscurrency.gov, its content, and its subdomains.

1.3 The Contractor shall work in tandem with the Client to ensure the proper functioning, maintenance, support, and buildout of uscurrency.govs AWS infrastructure in accordance with AWS best practices and the Boards needs.

1.4 The Contractor shall be responsible for ensuring weekly uptime at or above 98% for the primary website and all publicly available domains and subdomains.

1.5 The Contractor shall provide regular recommendations for the improvement of AWS infrastructure, including the modification, replacement, or stoppage of EC2 instances and the addition, modification, or cessation of AWS services.

1.6 The Contractor shall deliver security enhancement recommendations to the Client immediately after the Contractor becomes aware of the existence or likely existence of a security threat to or a security vulnerability within the AWS infrastructure.

1.7 The Contractor shall immediately implement the remedy for an identified security vulnerability as soon as the Contractor is aware of such a vulnerability, unless instructed otherwise.

1.8 Should the client select to move the existing cloud infrastructure to AWS GovCloud, or any other hosting platform, the Contractor shall provide technical support to facilitate the migration.

1.9 In the case of a migration from commercial AWS cloud resources to AWS GovCloud, all Contractor personnel shall continue to abide by the terms of this Contract unless otherwise amended by the CO to support this migration.

1.10 The Contractor shall ensure automated emergency notifications are sent to the COR and CO in the event of an AWS instance, server, or service failure.

1.11 These notifications shall be automated through the relevant AWS service, such as CloudWatch, as approved in writing by the COR.
