Role : Application Security Specialist Location: Los Angeles, CA (Onsite-3 days a week) Job Description: Identifying Vulnerabilities: The specialist is responsible for identifying vulnerabilities in applications early in the development process. This involves using various tools and techniques to detect security flaws and weaknesses. Fixing Vulnerabilities: Once vulnerabilities are identified, the specialist works on fixing them. This includes providing all the necessary information to evaluate and address the security issues effectively. Managing Application Security Programs: The specialist manages the overall application security program, ensuring full visibility on the application portfolio, security activities, and overall security posture. They guide the development team on which vulnerabilities to fix based on risk to the business. Integrating Security into Development Tools: The specialist integrates security measures into development tools to ensure that security is baked into the development process. This helps in shipping secure applications without sacrificing speed-to-market. Providing Comprehensive Reports: The specialist generates comprehensive security reports, including security assessments, compliance reports, and summaries of the most common security issues.
