Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Develop and maintain architectural blueprints, roadmaps, and documentation for data solutions. Ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and best practices in data architecture. Provide technical leadership and guidance to data engineering and analytics teams. Evaluate and recommend new data services and technologies to enhance our data infrastructure. Conduct performance tuning, troubleshooting, and optimization of data environments. Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, providing thought leadership and innovation. Mentor and coach junior data architects and engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Drive data migration and integration strategies, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems. Qualifications: Proven experience in designing and implementing data architectures on AWS. Extensive experience with AWS data services, including Redshift, RDS, S3, Glue, Athena, and more. Experience with Amazon Kendra, Amazon Q Business, Lex, Textract is desirable. Strong understanding of data security, compliance, and governance. Experience building scalable data pipelines using Spark or Spark-SQL with Airflow scheduler/executor framework or similar scheduling tools. Experience building real-time data pipelines using a micro-services architecture. Understanding of Data Engineering tools/frameworks and standards to improve the productivity and quality of output for Data Engineers across the team. Well-versed in modern software development practices (Agile, TDD, CICD). Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. AWS Certified Data Analytics Specialty or equivalent certification is highly desirable. Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
