From: Yogesh Sharma, StellentIT yogesh@stellentit.com Reply to: yogesh@stellentit.com Data Quality Engineer Columbus, OH (Hybrid) Phone + Skype Job description: Duties and Responsibilities: Supports data management and quality teams on the implementation of data quality, metadata and lineage, data sourcing and usage, data issue management requirements Works closely with internal partners in Audit, Compliance, Risk, and Legal to identify and define data policies, standards, and controls to enable broader use of data across Huntington Supports the creation of new processes and end-to-end design of various components within the Data Policies, Data Management and Data Quality Capability Leads implementation of an ongoing communication plan to educate key stakeholders on Data Governance, Data Management and Data Quality frameworks Works with business partners to understand requirements for data use, analysis, and quality. Works with stakeholders to ensure that business needs are clearly understood and that services meet those needs. Anticipates and analyzes trends in technology while assessing the emerging technologys impact(s). Uses business acumen and functional stakeholder input to understand data needed for process enablement Partners with data curators to understand business rules to enable proper interpretation for metrics. Leads internal groups to resolving data concerns. Monitors business perception of data quality to establish subjective quality measures. Establishes parameters for a data/data set. Implements systematic data quality monitoring for both objective and subjective measures. Reports findings and works proactively with data governance, data curators, business systems to identify root cause and facilitate the remediation and improvement of data quality. Provides leadership, coaching, and mentoring to team members and develops team to work with all areas of the organization. Coaches' individuals through change and serves as a role model. Profiles data from internal and external sources. Informs solution design and improvements to meet data quality goals. Liaises with Data Governance to communicate data quality issues and consults on remediation initiatives. Coordinates with data curators to ensure data accessibility and quality. Contributes to management of central data stores and metadata to establish quality expectations. Manages processes associated with data quality. Perform other duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications: Bachelors Degree (Computer Science, Business Administration, Economics or related fields) 7+ years of experience with Data Governance / Data Management / Data Quality and demonstrated experience with the following: working with or in business operations and reporting processes, and translating business data needs into technical language and partnering with IT teams to ensure effective QA/UAT of solution delivery Preferred Qualifications: Strong interpersonal and communication skills Strong problem-solving skills, focusing on outcomes and results Understanding of OLAP, SQL, query skills, and Business Intelligence technologies/concepts Understand DataOps and DevOps operational styles Understanding of Data Management and Data Quality principles, best practices and processes Technical knowledge, skills and experience using Data Management and specifically Data Quality tools, including understanding of relational databases, data warehouse concepts and SQL and query writing skills Working knowledge of available data sources and how they relate to each other Collaborative working style and ability to facilitate cooperation with business stakeholders and analysts Willingness and ability to learn new technologies on the job Financial Services background Keywords: quality analyst information technology Ohio Data Quality Engineer Columbus, OH (Hybrid) yogesh@stellentit.com |
