Job Summary: As a TVC User Experience Researcher (UXR), youll work closely with our BizTech ADS team in MTV to help their data scientists, product managers, engineers understand user needs. Youll work with ADS stakeholders across functions and levels and have impact at all stages of product development. Youll play a critical role in creating useful, usable, and delightful products. Youll explore user behaviors and motivations by conducting primary research such as field studies, interviews, diary studies, participatory workshops, ethnography, surveys, usability testing, and logs analysis. Experience: Masters degree in HCI, Social Science, Psychology or equivalent practical experience. Also, accepting Master's degree or PhD in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Statistics, Psychology, Anthropology, or related field. 3 years of proven industrial working experience as a UX researcher in a fast-paced environment, or similar. 3 years of experience applying qualitative and quantitative research methods, including semi-structured interviews, literature reviews, usability testing, contextual inquiry, qual and quant data analysis, and survey research. 2 years of experience conducting generative research. Preferred qualifications: 3 years of experience managing projects, and working in a large, matrixed organization. Top 3 Must Haves: 1. UX research 2. Qualitative research 3. Quantitative research Additional Requirements: Possessing advanced skills in data visualization, analysis, and presentation, essential for Data Scientists. Strong understanding of the strengths and shortcomings of different research methods, including when and how to apply them during the product development process. Experience in a variety of product spaces, applied research or academic settings. Proficiency in communicating user research findings with cross-functional partners to drive impact. Responsibilities: Conduct independent research on multiple aspects of products and experiences. Collect and analyze user behavior through lab studies, field visits, ethnography, surveys, benchmark studies, server logs and online experiments (A/B testing). Work with Designers, Product Managers, Engineers and other UXRs to prioritize research opportunities in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. Understand and incorporate complex technical and business requirements into research. Advocate research findings to diverse audiences through written reports and in-person presentations.
