Hi, Role: Lead JAVA Full Stack Cloud Developer Location: Fort Worth, TX (Hybrid) DXC Technology This job description outlines the role of a Java Full Stack Cloud Developer with a focus on software delivery, team collaboration, and continuous improvement within an agile environment. Heres a breakdown of the responsibilities and qualifications: Responsibilities: Software Delivery & Team Leadership: Lead software delivery while promoting new behaviours and ways of working within the team. Facilitate team ceremonies, working closely with team members and leadership. Identify and address gaps in agile and technical practices to continuously improve. Lead experiments to improve customer value or learning opportunities. Develop soft skills like communication, adaptability, and feedback. Collaborate with the Delivery Manager to identify training, growth opportunities, and personal growth paths. Problem-Solving & Design: Work on software architecture and design decisions, encouraging iterative and emergent design practices. Push back constructively against unsuitable solutions. Partner with the Product Owner to ensure focus on business value and team delivery. Agile & Continuous Improvement: Assist in identifying and resolving blockers with the Delivery Manager. Be proactive in questioning the status quo and continuously seeking improvements in processes and solutions. Show vulnerability when facing gaps in knowledge and focus on learning. Qualifications: Required (at least 3 of the following): Strong technical skills: Proficient in at least one object-oriented language (e.g., Java). Experience in distributed systems: Background in deploying and supporting high-volume, business-critical systems. Full Stack Developer Expertise: Hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and cloud technologies. Security Awareness: Ability to assess applications and services for security compliance. Architecture & Optimization: Experience reviewing architectures and suggesting optimizations to accelerate time to market. Test-Driven Development (TDD): Proven experience using TDD to design complex systems. Preferred: Mentorship: Experience coaching or mentoring others. Team-oriented mindset: Willingness to collaborate and prioritize team goals. CI/CD Knowledge: Experience in building continuous integration and deployment pipelines. Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile practices like Scrum, Kanban, or Extreme Programming. Additional Technical Skills: Knowledge of multi-threading, concurrency, debugging, performance optimization, and object/service-oriented development patterns. Communication Skills: Comfortable with both internal teams and external business stakeholders. Creative Problem Solving: Ability to simplify solutions and improve systems and processes. Leadership: Experience leading small to medium-sized teams (5-25 developers). Cross-functional Experience: Experience in business roles such as product ownership or management, marketing, sales, or finance.
