This role requires physical presence onsite 5 days per week and focuses heavily on hands-on coding (80%) while maintaining architectural oversight (20%). Key Responsibilities Lead development efforts for complex Java-based applications while actively contributing to the codebase through hands-on programming and implementation of technical solutions Design and develop RESTful APIs following industry best practices and architectural standards while ensuring scalability and performance Implement and optimize Spring Boot applications, incorporating modern development practices and design patterns Architect and develop solutions utilizing Apache Kafka for event-driven architectures and real-time data processing Apply advanced multithreading concepts to develop high-performance, concurrent applications Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members while ensuring code quality through reviews and best practices Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications Required Technical Skills Advanced proficiency in Java development with 8+ years of experience Strong expertise in RESTful API design, development, and integration Extensive experience with Spring Boot framework and associated technologies Deep understanding of multithreading concepts and concurrent programming Proven experience with Apache Kafka, including implementation of producers, consumers, and stream processing Version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines Strong understanding of software design patterns and architectural principles Additional Requirements Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field Minimum 8 years of software development experience with at least 3 years in a technical lead role Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Excellent communication and leadership abilities Experience working in financial services industry preferred Ability to work full-time onsite at Berkeley Heights location Physical Requirements Must be able to work 5 days per week onsite at the Berkeley Heights office Regular office environment work conditions Work Distribution 80% Hands-on coding and implementation 20% Technical design and architecture Keywords: continuous integration continuous deployment New Jersey Java Technical Lead - Contract - Onsite- Berkley Heights , NJ (Locals Only) [email protected] http://bit.ly/4ey8w48 https://jobs.nvoids.com/job_details.jsp?id=2121454&uid= |
