Job Title: Technical Pega CDH Lead System Architect (Clinical Data Management Solution)

Role Overview:
The Technical Pega CDH Lead System Architect (LSA) will be responsible for architecting and implementing advanced decisioning solutions using Pegas Customer Decision Hub (CDH) within a clinical data management solution. This role focuses on optimizing clinical workflows, enhancing patient data management, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. The LSA will provide technical leadership, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive the delivery of scalable and efficient solutions tailored to the healthcare domain.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Solution Architecture and Design
Define and oversee the architecture for Pega CDH solutions supporting clinical workflows such as patient eligibility, treatment prioritization, and clinical trial management.
Design Next-Best-Action (NBA) frameworks to support evidence-based decision-making in clinical and operational processes.
Ensure seamless integration with clinical systems like Electronic Health Records (EHR), Clinical Trial Management Systems (CTMS), and healthcare data repositories.
Establish reusable components and scalable frameworks to address diverse clinical data management needs.
2. Leadership and Team Oversight
Provide technical leadership to development teams, ensuring adherence to Pega best practices and healthcare regulations.
Mentor and guide junior developers, architects, and business analysts.
Conduct architecture and code reviews to maintain quality and performance standards.
Collaborate with stakeholders to align solution designs with business goals and clinical objectives.
3. Implementation and Development
Lead the configuration and implementation of decision strategies, workflows, and rules in Pega CDH to manage clinical data efficiently.
Leverage Pegas AI and machine learning capabilities to drive predictive and adaptive analytics in patient care and clinical operations.
Implement engagement policies, arbitration, and prioritization rules to support personalized and compliant decision-making.
4. Regulatory Compliance and Security
Ensure all solutions comply with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, GDPR, and FDA requirements.
Implement data security and privacy best practices to safeguard sensitive patient and clinical data.
Monitor and address potential risks associated with decisioning systems in a clinical environment.
5. Optimization and Continuous Improvement
Analyze and refine decisioning strategies based on key performance indicators (KPIs) and clinical outcomes.
Identify bottlenecks in workflows and implement optimizations to enhance system performance and user experience.
Stay updated with advancements in healthcare technology and Pega features to incorporate innovative solutions.
6. Stakeholder Collaboration
Work closely with clinical teams, regulatory experts, and business leaders to gather requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
Act as a technical advisor to non-technical stakeholders, explaining system capabilities and constraints.
Provide detailed documentation, including solution designs, technical specifications, and compliance reports.
Qualifications and Skills
Technical Skills:
Extensive expertise in Pega CDH, including decision strategies, engagement policies, and NBA Designer.
Strong understanding of clinical data management processes and systems, such as EHRs, CTMS, and patient registries.
Experience integrating Pega CDH with healthcare standards like FHIR, HL7, and DICOM.
Proficiency in AI/ML models for healthcare analytics and decision-making.
Knowledge of database management, REST APIs, and message
queues (e.g., Kafka).
Certifications:
Pega Certified Lead System Architect (PCLSA) (Mandatory).
Pega Certified Decisioning Consultant (PCDC) is highly preferred.
Certifications in healthcare IT (e.g., Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems) are advantageous.
Soft Skills:
Exceptional leadership and mentoring skills.
Strong communication skills to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities tailored to healthcare challenges.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Experience:
8+ years of experience in Pega development, including 3+ years in CDH and healthcare-specific solutions.
Proven track record of delivering large-scale, compliant solutions in regulated industries like healthcare.
Hands-on experience with clinical workflows, patient engagement strategies, and healthcare analytics.
Additional Considerations
Familiarity with cloud-based healthcare platforms (AWS HealthLake, Azure for Health, or GCP).
Experience in Agile project management and DevOps principles.
Knowledge of patient-centric engagement strategies and digital health transformation trends.
