This role focuses on data ingestion, transformation, governance, and visualization, ensuring scalable solutions that meet compliance and business needs. Key Responsibilities: Architecture & Design: Build and implement a multi-layered data lake (Bronze, Silver, Gold) on GCP. Data Ingestion: Integrate data from retail systems (Shopify, Aptos MERCH, Aptos CRM, Aptos SALES AUDIT, Aptos WMS) using DataFlow, Cloud Functions, and other GCP tools. Data Transformation: Develop ETL/ELT pipelines for data cleaning, enrichment, and curation. Data Governance: Establish frameworks for security, metadata management, lineage tracking, and compliance (GDPR, CCPA). Monitoring & Cost Optimization: Use Cloud Monitoring, Logging, and billing tools to ensure performance and cost-efficiency. Visualization: Enable actionable insights through seamless integration with Power BI and BigQuery. Collaboration: Work with engineers and stakeholders to align solutions with business goals. Required: 8+ years in data architecture, including 3+ years on Google Cloud Platform. Experience with GCP services: BigQuery, Cloud Storage (GCS), DataFlow, Cloud Functions, Cloud IAM, Data Catalog, Cloud Monitoring, and Cloud Logging. Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks, metadata management, and compliance (GDPR, CCPA). Proficiency in ETL/ELT pipelines, SQL, and scripting (Python, Java). Experience integrating Power BI for data visualization.
