Oracle Apex Developer Position Georgia DPH IT (SendSS) is requesting a contract Oracle Apex developer for the Emerging Infections Program (EIP) SendSS module. Candidate MUST be local to Metro Atlanta. The EIP module has matured over the past 8 years and now requires extensive modifications to handle additional workflows and data capture for specific conditions. As SendSS is undergoing a modernization, the program and SendSS have decided not to make changes in the legacy SendSS system but to reengineer the EIP suite of modules in the new Oracle Apex framework. This rewrite and enhancement effort is expected to take approximately 2 years, and funding is available for this duration through a recent grant secured by EIP. EIP Modules to be rewritten in Oracle Apex Framework: EIP ABC's Report Form: Active bacterial core surveillance case report, which tracks infections for pathogens such as Group A Streptococcus (GAS), Group B Streptococcus (GBS), and Streptococcus pneumoniae. ABC's NIE, NNS & iEC Report Forms: Used for tracking Neonatal Infection Expanded Tracking, Neonatal Sepsis Surveillance, and Neonatal Invasive E.Coli Infection Expanded Tracking. iSA Report Form: Surveillance program for Invasive Staphylococcus Aureus Infection. Viral Module Reporting Form: Includes FLUSurv, RSVSurv, and COVID Module for tracking respiratory virus-associated hospitalizations. CDI Module: Used to track and monitor cases related to Clostridioides difficile infection. Required Skills and Experience: System Development Experience: 3+ years of experience in developing applications. Educational Background: Completion of an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited institution. Oracle PL/SQL Programming: 5+ years of experience required. Web Application Development: 5+ years of experience developing web applications using HTML, JavaScript, and JavaScript-based frameworks. Project Lifecycle Experience: 5+ years of experience in implementing web-based systems throughout the full project lifecycle. Troubleshooting Skills: Proficient in troubleshooting and self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate sound judgment. Database Experience: 5+ years of experience with relational database systems such as Oracle 11g or 12c and SQL Server. Desired Skills: Strong understanding of Oracle Apex framework, especially in the context of large-scale modernization projects.
