Job Title: Senior AWS Cloud Engineer Location: Austin, Texas --Remote Duration: 12+ Months Job Description We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior AWS Cloud Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud computing, specifically with AWS, and will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our cloud infrastructure. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, a deep understanding of cloud services, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. What You Will Do Design, develop, and implement scalable and secure cloud infrastructure solutions. Collaborate with infrastructure, operations, and security teams to define and implement cloud architecture best practices. Monitor and optimize cloud resources to ensure high availability, reliability, and performance, including the management of AWS Organizations to streamline account management and governance. Implement cost optimization strategies across cloud resources, leveraging AWS tools and services to analyze and reduce costs effectively. Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts using tools such as AWS CDK, Terraform Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to cloud infrastructure and services. Provide technical guidance and mentorship. Who You Are Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience 5+ years of experience in cloud computing, with a focus on AWS. Strong knowledge of AWS services, including but not limited to: Networking, IAM, Control Tower, Account/Cost Management Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as CDK, Terraform Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python, C# or Java. Experience in building simple, repeatable, and secure solutions and processes. Experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications AWS certifications, such as Practitioner, Developer, Administrator, Networking Knowledge of IT security best practices and experience implementing security measures in a cloud environment. Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management tools.
